Tel Aviv: Home (for now)

In the end of January I boarded a plane in the direction of yet another adventure: Working in Tel Aviv.

I believe that in life we are what we make of ourselves, and every small accomplishment has to be celebrated. Not many of us live in equal societies, so we might as well take the opportunities that are given to us.

If you take a look at my cv, you will get a glimpse of what older generations would call inconsistency: different areas of interest, graduated in journalism but working in marketing… Well, what may sound like inconsistency, can be put into one little saying: “be water, my friend”.

Being a journalist and a communication professional, what I mean by this statement is that one needs to keep the eyes open to absorb the biggest of all pictures: human behavior… How do we evolve, relate, create? Observation and active listening are powerful tools, and a flexible understanding of the world, another. And it is with this (yes, broad) open and thirsty take on my professional life, that I give myself the opportunity to experiment and grow.

Books, education, fashion, e-commerce, digital marketing, crypto currencies and more. I’ve been professionally everywhere (sort of), but It’s all about people in the end. Technical knowledge is more than vital, but that, with eagerness and drive, we can learn. Being water means that you can take your big picture and recycle it into smaller ones. Understand to translate and spread.

On January 22nd I took this crazy step of leaving my country feeling kind of blindfolded. On February 4th I begun a new job working on a new digital security startup (more to come on that!). What’s next? I still don’t know. What I do know is that my drive to know people and their creations will take me where I’m supposed to go.

In the meantime, well, enjoy the ride!
